Dear Pramod,
The situation of Dengue is really alarming in Kolkata and in whole of West Bengal. People are afraid like our friend, Tushar. I really do not know whether Tushar himself was affected or not. But our friend, Dr. Somnath Kundu's son was affected some days back. I came to know coz, Somnath came to NICED to get his son's blood tested for dengue virus.
Local health authority has understood the seriousness of dengue epidemic after long time. So control measures are also directionless. Actually multiple epidemics are going on simultaneously in West Bengal like Dengue, Malaria, Japanese Encephalitis, Gastro-enteritis.
Anyway, because of dengue, we could interact each other after a long gap.
