Amitabh Bachchan made his first public appearance, post his illness, at the Filmfare Awards nite.
And walked away with awards, a standing ovation and a lot of pride. And this time not just for his own work, but for Abhishek's too.
Says the proud dad, "Father and son getting awards during the same year is unprecedented. We were both nominated in the best actor and best supporting actor categories. I am happy I lost the best supporting actor award to him. I'd have been proud to lose the best actor award to my son too."

And what is his take on Abhishek rushing to the stage to hug him. "He's crazy. He does these impulsive things. He startled me," says Amitabh.
He is also overwhelmed by the audience's reaction. "It was such an overwhelming moment to see the audiences' reaction to me. I just didn't know what to say. I had a tough time trying to control my emotions when I saw the people up on their feet for me. I've no adequate words to describe what I feel each time I experience the love of the people in this country," Big B says.
