'Aap to meri shirt ke peeche hi pad gaye'

Big B rolls up his sleeves and narrates the story behind his colourful attire and two watches!

What happens when the suave and reserved AB dresses a la Sanjay Dutt? He draws a lot of attention, for one! So, when Amitabh Bachchan donned a winered colour shirt, which was gifted to him by Sanjay, the questions were bound to come up.

"Aap toh meri shirt ke peeche hi pad gaye," he replies, adding, "My friend Sanjay Dutt gifted me this beautiful shirt. Our families are very close. We exchange gifts. I gifted him something too."

But what truly grabs everyone's attention are the two watches on his wrist. One is a gift by someone whose identity he refuses to reveal, and the other was bought by him.

Nattily dressed and looking younger, AB is ready to field questions about his illness as well. "It was never about my hectic lifestyle.
There were misconstrued reports doing the rounds that I fell ill because I was overworked. I think I was not getting enough time to sleep," he says.

Amitabh also wants nothing to do with tags. "I don't believe in the superstar tag. Besides, films these days revolve around Shah Rukh, Salman or Abhishek. The younger generation has taken over.

And although it is very exciting and humbling to know that people write roles keeping me in mind, I cannot carry an entire film on my shoulders," he says.

Talking about Abhishek's growing popularity, he says, "He is doing well, but has a long way to go. Fortunately, he has some fine projects in hand. We wish him well and pray that he always remains as focused as he has been.

I enjoy working with him." What does he have to say about the ongoing controversy surrounding Aamir Khan? "Everyone has a constitutional, legal and democratic right to express what he feels.
