Amitabh's proud of his son
Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan is proud of his son Abhishek's acting achievements and his selection of roles, The Asian Age newspaper has reported.
"I was never this adventurous. And had I been so, I doubt if I would've been able to carry it off with such conviction," the star said of his son. "I never got the opportunity and also maybe I was never so brave."
The 31-year-old is one of India's best known actors and recently starred in Guru, a
rags-to-riches story said to be based on the life of late industrialist Dhirubhai Ambani, one of India's most powerful businessmen who built a Fortune 500 petrochemicals company.
He's also seen success as a motorcycle riding tough police officer in Dhoom 2 and a sensitive husband in Kabhi Alvida Na Kahna.
His father, 64, known affectionately as the Big B, first emerged as a movie star in the 1970s. He has since acted in about 160 movies.
