Karan Johar gets Dostana climax reshot

Karan Johar got the climax of Dostana reshot in Mumbai's Filmcity
after he saw the rushes and felt something amiss.

A source reveals, "Few weeks back, Karan saw the climax shot by his
protégé, Tarun Mansukhani who debuts as a director with his Dostana.
He was visibly upset and didn't like one bit the way Tarun treated
the scenes. Karan found something sorely missing. That's when he
immediately decided to reshoot the entire climax. But instead of
going back to Miami to shoot it again, he got it shot in Mumbai's
Goregaon Filmcity. Karan himself remained present on the sets and
made sure his suggestions and changes were being implied."

"Dostana happens to be one of 2008's most awaited film and Karan
didn't want to go it wrong anywhere. Though he is just the producer
of Dostana, he was actively involved with the making of the film and
even made a trip to Miami where a major portion of the film was
shot. The film is a romantic comedy, but the end portions shot by
Tarun somehow didn't leave up to Karan's desire. So in the best
interest of the film, he got them reshot. There has been no tussle
over this between Karan and Tarun." the source further adds.

Dostana starring Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra
