Can the person A get the HRA benefit in the following case;

A (male) is married to B (female)

A & B jointly (50:50) own a house in a City. No other house is owned by A. Both of them live in the jointly owned house. A works in a Company, where HRA is a Salary component. A pays rent to B for the 50% share of the house owned by B and submits the rent proof to the company.
Question is will he get the HRA benefit.
