Dear Investor,
Yesterday, I wrote about Niranjan, a software engineer. Today, I present to you Trupti and Sandeep. They have a kid, Manasi.
They dont invest in equities at all, they have just saved up to buy a flat. "Property is good and safe," Trupti says. She likes Bank FDs and LIC as well. At the same time, she is certainly intrigued about equities. " i am going to start soon," she says.

Sandeep works in the Department of Posts while Trupti is a senior member of an application software maintenance team.
Hailing from a middle class family, they felt that equties were inherently risky. "I cant take risks," says Sandeep. Wife, Trupti hs a similar view. But she is prepared to accept that equitiy investments could be the best way to hedge against inflation. She is prepared to take a long term view.
She is intrigued enough to want to visit the Investor Clinics at the India Equity Show. "I have a daughter who is 4, I think I need a proper financial plan," says Sandeep. He is hopeful that at the Clinics, he will get some good guidance. "The challenge is to achieve the right mix of instruments," he says. Mutual Funds. Equities. Insurance. How much should he put and where. That is the question facing him.
Why, you still ask of The India Equity Show. By now you should know.
Here's wishing you prosperity.
