Friends & Believers,

I hope you are all preparing for the festival of lights. I sure am looking forward to Diwali with my family after a long time.  Its been a while since we communicated to I thought of updating you about our activities in last few months. Broadly we have been:

1. Establishing relationships with NGOs in the state.
2. Doing ground work on setting a Rural tourism business
3. Exploring an idea on setting up a marketing channel for Natural products from Himachal.
4. First face to face interaction of VOH members in Shimla.
5. Guest lectures with Students in HP University and NIT Hamirpur
6. Registering Voice of Himachal as a Non Profit Entity.

I am sure with your goodwill and support we will continue to work on our chosen path to contribute positively in the social and economic development of Himachal.

HimVani.com continues to provide day to day information about Himachal, however we are not happy with the content which we are generating. I request you to kindly send us suggestions on improving the quality of content. Adding to it we need more brains and hands who can write about Himachal. If you know someone who can write well and would be interested in being part of Citizen Journalism movement like VOH than kindly recommend HimVani to them. Ideally we should have atleast one writer from each Tehsil.

A sincere request to many members who have been quite active in the past but have recently been quite or taken a back seat. We do understand that once in a while rough patches hit us all. With increasing work pressure of professional and family life, time does become a constraint. However it is important that we continue to do what we believe in . HimVani is not an individual effort but an effort by a group of believers and your support makes the core team of volunteers put extra efforts.
