Dear Pankaj.
In India, feeding of Zygogramma bicolorata in laboratoty under quarantine conditions was done on 40 plant species. Out these, no adult feeding oviposition or larval feeding were observed except on Parthenium hysterophorus. Slight adult feeding was observed on niger (Guizotia abyssinica) and jasmine (Jasminum grandiflorum). Hope, other experts will also be responding. In case Australian position remains unattnded, let me know I will get back to you after recovery from my ill health in order to reply this part.
Wish you and IPRNG family a prosperous year 2006
Regards

Dear Group Members,
Yesterday I was delivering lecture on Parthenium among school boys.
During discussion on biocontrol I got question about the number of
plant species on which Zygogramma beetles were tested before release in
Australia and India. Experts like Dr. Mahadevappa, Dr.Gautam and
Dr.Throp are with us in this group.
Looking forward for replies.
