I share your feelings one hundred per cent. My reaction are as follows:

1.The money invested is not much. Afew thousands or lakhs by DBT and scanty amount here and there in some states.

2.The attempts made for adoption of technology is very very meagre compared to the vastness of the problem.

3. What ever attempt is made isnot systematically and scientifically done.

4.Even today most people are adopting weedicide/hand pulling methods in majority of the casesand what can we expect from this.

5. We do not have fine-finished tecnology for all the ecosystems/agroclimatic conditions of the country.

6.Utility side is simply unexplored.

7.Yes. We have succes story in North Karnataka. But the same technology may not work every where! We can borrow the philisophy of the technology adopted here. But it has to be fine tuned with further research. This is not done any where till this date

8. I appreciate your concern and your analysis is really meaningful.

9. International conferences are for preparation of road maps and for enthusing people working in the line. They are not enough to achieve end results. The recommendations are to be translated in action. Where is it done?

10.I am prepared to share my experience to launch a megaproject to achieve this goal; but who is taking interest?
