Dear Group Members,

In few months I have received so many mails mostly from school
children that they have developed chemicals to manage Parthenium. 2
from Chhattisgarh, 1 from Madhya Pradesh, 1 from Orissa, 6 from Punjab
and many more. They are writing to me with much hope. I am suggesting
them to contact the Director, National Research Center for weed
science, Jabalpur for validation. Most of them expect award and
recognition without even trials. I am in dilemma. Recently Kheti
Duniya from Punjab published similar claims by school children.

Please suggest the ways. I know that in most of the cases due to over
enthusiasm they make such claims but I feel that if there is positive
attitude we can encourage such children. I am also afraid that
encouragement of false claims may give wrong impression to society.
Increasing number of such claims is indicating this.

Like Parthenium, school children with claim to develop herbal medicine
for cancer and AIDS are also approaching to me. It is common trend in
other fields also.
