Re: [IPRNG] Traditional Agricultural Knowledge, Dhekna Booti and Pest Management

Dear Dr Pankaj,

Yesterday I was in Ranchi for a seminar. I met my old friend Dr Pandey who is now the VC of Raipur Agric university. He told me that Parthenium is a very serous problem in his state. I told him that we have brought down the menace of Parthenium to considerable extent in Karnataka through awareness and promoting Integrated Parthenium weed management technology. I told him about your concern and involvement also. Please meet him at the earliest. We can have a awareness campaign and and target at minimising the damage to society due to this weed. I will be happy to associate and guide in this matter.

We are going to have a LOW KEY Environment conference on March 2010 at Mysore where there will be two sessions on Parthenium. We will invite you also. Please reply my after meeting Dr Pandey, VC.

Regs,
M Mahadevappa
