Welcome to this web-forum which is dedicated to communicate professional issues, ideas, and goals. This forum can serve as a platform to float our news and views, and to voice our concerns and aspirations related to our profession. As we all know that psychology as a profession, in India, is still to get due recognition and value, despite the fact that this profession draws new horizons every day in terms of understanding and treating the mind. Lot of things have been achieved, and lot more to be achieved. We need ideas from young and stimulating minds. We need an accreditation body to monitor and regulate our professional practice and standards. We need to have a strong and united federation for our basic profession of psychology, and this should eventually lead us to have the Council for Psychology. To meet this end, suggestions and ideas, as a first step, should be exchanged among all the professionals who aspire to make a positive change.

Needless to say, there is no place or field in this world where psychology in general and clinical psychology in particular has lesser implication. Be it a school, home, hospital, jail, military, industry, community/political organisation, or even environment/nature, psychologist as a researcher/theoretician or as a clinician/specialist has a role to play. To be in par with our Western or American counterparts, we all have to first show our solidarity as professionals, share our views and concerns, and execute our plans. Being in a heritage of rich psychological (and philosophical) tradition, we can excel with much ease and pose ourselves a model for others to follow. Let us not dream that our dreams are not feasible to achieve. Be it a casual remark, or a serious discussion or debate, let us express it to our colleagues, for the growth of ourselves and our profession.
