hi
 
i m very new to linux and know almost nothing except
doing dual booting and installing linux (many flavour tried)
 
how to install new software using CD and through net
 
how many ways to install software or hardware driver
 
i dont know what is    yum ,  hotplug  etc. etc ..
 
kindly help me 
as little as you can guide me 
for last 2/3 months i want to install HP1020 lj printer but
can install
either in KDE or GNOME enviourment  in FC7
Debian Linux or any other
 
truly want to learn and serve for linux
