Syrian patriarch has violated the canon of the Orthodox church by
visiting India without the invitation of HH Catholicose of the East.
He had even violated Indian Immigration rules by comming on tourist
visa and presiding over religious ceremoniies(thanks to then CM omen
chandy).
actually this situation should have been refered not only to the
Central Govt of India but also to the Oriental Orthodox synod so
that he should not commit this error in future.
Patriarch may be a pundit but he is responsible for the breakaway of
thousands of Syrian Orthodox christians in california from the
patriarchate.
In america he supported a criminal bishop Kaplan and in India he
supported the rebel Fr.C.M.Thomas by ordaining him as Thomas Mar
Divanniasos and then to Shreshsta Bawa.
Is there any justification for his actions?
