Our Church is facing the lack of potential leadership in
administration.
We got the judgment from the Supreme Court and we failed to make the
authority to execute the court order and it is our incapability.
The court accepted Late H.H. Mathews II as the catholicos and the
malankara Metropolitan of the MOSC. But we took a long time to call
a Malankara Association meeting to precede the court judgment in to
action. That is because of the incapability of the leadership of
our Church.
So far no fractions are separated, but the Patriarchies fraction
ordinate a catholicos under the Patriarchies and we did not approach
the court to stay that ordination. They ordinate several bishops
without the permission of the Catholicos of the MOSC. If we
approach the court for a stay against such practices, they might
have pleaded that they are separate church. And it may be a turning
point for the Court cases.
Now one of the courts stayed the actions of the catholicos of the
MOSC as the head of the church and the court set July 19th for the
hearing of that case but we failed to appear in the court on the
date. Our H.H. Catholicos was in a tour in America in that time.
Was it important to attend the court or does it have importance to
continue the visit in America? I am curious to know whether our
office bearers are able to lead our Church. If we are able to
conduct the association meeting in time as per the Kalpana of our
H.H. Catholicos it is good otherwise it will be a great blow to our
leadership and I will be left with no other alternative except to
pray for my church to get a capable leadership.
I hope Mar Makarios Thirumeny can help our church in this juncture
as Thirumeny is capable to find the solutions whenever there were a
critical situations arises like this.
When a group of opportunists forced the people like Mr. K.M. Mathew
to leave from the advisory council our church should have to think
twice the consequences of that. The people in Kerala are giving a
good definition about the present leadership of our church and it
will be highly appreciable if our spiritual leaders listen that
definition and act appropriately. I am shameful to quote that
definition here.
It is the time for our Church members for a re-think about the
Office Bearers of our Church.
