Miss. Johncy Mole Joy from Tabor St. Mary's Orthodox Church of Kottayam diocese
needs to get justice form our MOSC.
She is an Orthodox belong from a low-income family. She passed the 10the and
12th class of the Sunday school in 1st class and she won the prizes in the
akhila Malankara Sunday school competitions continuously from 1999 till 2002 and
has been selected as the Scholar of the Sunday school in 2002.
She is from a low-income family and she applied for the admission in our
engineering college in Peerumedu and Kolencherry after finishing her 12th grade,
but she did not get even a reply from any of our colleges. When one of our
Managing committee member, Mr.Thomas T. John noticed this sad incident he
arranged her admission at St. Gitts Engineering college, Pathamuttom without any
admission fees and the yearly fees of Rs.6,000/ as per the govt. rule for a
student has been paid by the Mother Church and helped her to complete her
studies. She successfully passed the Computer engineering.
She applied for the vacancy of the teaching job in the Peerumedu Engineering
College of our Church in February, '09 and her name was in the list of the 21
qualified names. But later one of the girls from another Chrisitian Denomination
from Thiruvalla who studied with Johncy Mole in the same batch is selected for
the job after the interview of our Board.
What is the royalty behind this? Is this the treatment that we expecting from
our Church? If a poor girl from our Church cannot get any support from our
Church institution, then where do she need to knock for a help?
One of our Managing Committee members Mr. A.K. Joseph notified this matter to
our Catholicose H.H. Basalios Marthoma Didimos II for the kind consideration.
Hope our Spiritual Head of the Church H.H. Catholca Bava Thirumeny will take
suitable decision in this regard. We could not close our eyes on this kind of
discrimination towards our Church members and we need to raise our voice.
I am humbly requesting the voices of all our Church members in this matter and
appeal to our Church.
