Inauguration of The South West Diocese of America of the Malankara Orthodox
Syrian Church.


The Inauguration of the newly formed South West Diocese of America of the MOSC
and the official reception for the New Bishop of the Diocese H.G. Alexios Mar
Eusabios will take place at the University of Houston campus on 13th June
2009,which is at the last day of the 1st camp of the new diocese. Church leaders
including the Sabha secretary Dr. George Joseph and political dignitaries will
attend the meeting.

All the arrangements are doing under the leadership of the Ad-hoc
committee,which Rev. Dr. Fr. C.O. Varghis is the convener, V. Rev. Geevarghese
Arooppala Cor episcopa, Rev. Fr. P.M. Cherian and Dr. Zachariah Thomas (Mg.
committee member) are committee members appointed by the H.H. Catholicos. The
Ad-hoc committee consulted with the Vicars of the parishes in the new diocese
and charted out the program of the inauguration of the South West Diocese of
America. The Head Quarters of the Diocese will be in Houston temporarily and the
permanent location will be finalized later.

Finance committee: Chair: Rev. Dr. C.O. Varghis.
Members: Vicars and Trustees of the three Parishes in Houston.

Food Committee: Chair . Rev. Dr. C.O. Varghis.
Committee members: E.K. Varghese , Varghese Manjadiyil, M.P. Varghese,
O.T.Varghese.

H.G. Mar Eusabios will arrive in Houston on 30th of May, 2009 and celebrate the
Holy Qurbana on 31st May at St. Thomas Orthodox Church in Stafford and on 7th at
the St. Stephens Orthodox Church, Houston and Inaugurate the Sunday School
Anniversary of the St. Stephen's Orthodox Church.
