Yemen is a Muslim country and the Christian worship is not allowed officially, Sana'a is the capital city of Yemen and St.Mary's Orthodox Congregation were started on Feb 7th 2008 by few orthodox believers due to the false teaching and conversion by the Penthacosts were become non controllable. We really fought very
hard against them to stabilize this congregation. During Passion week 2008, Christmas 2008 and Passion week 2009 we brought Orthodox priests from Ethiopia and conducted our own mass in the temporary altar and lot of believers attended and got the holy blessings. Now at last we got the glad news that one Orthodox priest will be available for us from September to conduct holy qurbana every week. Actually we know it is very difficult to afford the expenses to meet a priest regularly as the salaries of all of us is very low compared to other gulf
countries, but from the starting of this congregation God has blessed us with whatever we required in time and we all hope that everything will be success by his grace. We request you all to pray for us for the success of our dreams. We are facing a lot of challenges from the Penthocosts here and all your prayers will help us to overcome all the risks.
