Archbishop Mor Julius Hanna Aydin of Germany, who was ordained as a
metropolitan and appointed to that position only in February this
year,has been reportedly suspended by patriarch zakka I. His fault?
He advocated unity of all the Syriac (Aramaean) people in Germany,
leading to the reported displeasure of the Syrian government and its
secret service agency, the Mukhabarat. The Syrian government, we are
told, wants to keep the Syriac people divided.
