Hi Joice,
It was interesting to see the article of almayavedi
advocating unity. From the article I understand that
majority of the bishops, priests and laity of the
patriarch faction is for the unity between the two
churches. great to know that.
Thanks
Kiran
Dear All
I would like add to some points about the problems in
Northern diocesses
1. Please go through the following data which gives an
idea how IOC appoints a bishop to Northern diocesses.
Metropolitan Dioceses Originally from
1.HG Mor severious Knadanad west Vazhoor --Kottayam
2. HG Mor Clemis Sultan Bathery Pndalam
3.HG Mor Theophilos Malabar Tiruvalla - ( and was in
Trivandrum)
HG Mor pachomius was the Metropolitan of Angamaly and
he is from Perinad (Ranny) ashramam
So whenever IOC needs a bishop in the north somebody
will go from south. Because of their contacts in the
south they have to
spend most of the time in south itself. So most of
the time the metropolitan has to depends on some body
else and these people
become very powerfull . This we saw in Angamaly
diocesese when HG Mor pachomius was the Metropolitan.
In the Malankara Association , southern diocesses are
very strong and they decide who should be elected.
Mostly the candidates from south gets
the support from the senior Metropolitans also. Fr.
Dr. Johns Abraham Konatt is a faculty in MD seminary
and very much popular in South. So he could manage
majority of votes . But for others it will not be
easy.
2. See the list of the nominated members to the
managing committee. Just count the numbers from each
dioceses. You can see majority are
from south especially from Kottayam. Some of the
diocesse has not been considered also. What may be the
reason ?
Every body knows the Catholicate designate has a big
hand in the selection of Nominated members . I dont
think the list is a fair one. See one samples
Rt. rev P. C. Yohannan Ramban- Very much powerfull
than any bishops in Malankara. Close to Devalokam and
right hand of UDF leader Oommen Chandy. 3-4 years back
he wrote an article in Malayala Manorama daily against
HG Dr. Youhanon Mor Militose. It was a half page
report.Manorama gave much importance because of the
realtion ship. I read the article and understood with
pain that a bishop has been ridiculed
by a member of clergy in public. Nobody asked any
thing to the Rambachen. Now this Rambachen has been
rewarded .
Some other names included in the list also will make
us sad.
3. In prev. digest , Dr. Vinu suggested that the
charge of Angamaly diocesse should be given to HG Dr.
Thomas Mor Athanasius of Kandanad West.
I am sure Athanasius thirumeni will not take a risk
because he is very much aware about what happend to
Militose Thirumeni in Diocese as well as in Holly
Synod.
4. In the digest no.2758 of ICON Mr. Thomas P in his
reply to Dr. Vinu mentioned that Yakuburdana bawa
ordaing bishops to speed up the split in church.
Yes most of the newly ordained bishops are like
Kozhiparampil Athanasius Metropolitan. But some silver
lines are there like
HG Dr. Geevarghese mor Cooriloose and HG Dr.
Kuriakkose Mor Theophilose. Coorilose thirumeni
recently translated Vattaseril thirumenis one book in
to English
and very much close to Dalit Movements. Few months
back one famous weekly in malyalam wrote a cover story
about him.
(Malyalam weekly from Indian express group).
Thanking you
Shaju Joseph

Dear All
As per the latest Almaya vedhi Bullettin, Fr.
Dr. M.O. John was trying to get a seat 'Working
committee' . I really surprise that why he could not
manage it ? See Fr. John was a faculty in the
seminary. As per my knowledge he could create his own
group in seminary and was strongly against Fr. Dr. K.
M. George and Fr. T.J. Joshua (Both are very
respectfull personalities inside and outside the
church). Same time he started a publication '
Malanakara Sabha Deepam'. He use it as his weopen
against the personalities he does not like.'Deepam'
is not an official publication of IOC . But it has a
good circulation . How he managed it ? Many of the
members of clergy are working as circulation anagers.
When members of clergy approch the laymen to take the
subscription usually they accept it. But I strongly
believe he gets fund from outside to run this
periodical. He gets good supports from South Africa,
Vienna and some other Europian regions. Otherwise
it is difficult. Its internet edition is absolutely
free of charge. Its colour was too yellow. But see now
the colour is changing slowly. When he contested for
the bishop post his publication helped him to manage
majority of votes from 'Almayar'. He has regular
writers for his Deepam . He supports who ever he wants
and ridicules who ever he does not like. Our beloved HH
Mathews II bawa thirumeni was a victim Any way he
expelled from seminary because of his 'active' work
and dedication.
As I mentioned earlier he led a 'cocus' in old
seminary and got support from some of the other
faculties especially from a senior member who reached
to top rank of the administration. In the same time
some thing was happening in Angamaly diocese. HH
Mathews II bawa thirumeni took strong decissions and
you all aware of these things. But in the initial days
of HH Didimos I Bawa Thirumeni , Fr. Jonh moved to
Angamaly diocese as the vicar of one church . Then
slowly moved to Trikkunathu Seminary and now the full
incharge of it. Without a 'GOD FATHER' how he could
manage it ?
We all know that he is preist in Ankamaly diocese. He
could not manage his berth in Managing committee from
there. He has been selected (NOMIANTED ???) form
UK-CANADA diocesse. Is it possible for others ? I dont
know the rules and regulations regarding this but for
him it is easy because of his 'GOD FATHER'.
As a member of clergy , how he could edit a yellow
periodical ? The answer is easy . ' God Fafther ' .
If you have a Godfather and he strong enough then you
could manage to do all these things ?
Ninety percentage I believe that he will appear as a
metropolitan candidate . Will he be a nominated
candiadte of Holy Synod ? It is a million dollar
question. Wait and see
Thanking you
Shaju Joseph

PS : Every body is well aware of the role of our old
seminary. Most of the people in our church respects
and love Fr. Dr. KM George and Fr. TJ Joshua. And
George Achen is an outstanding personality and he is
the IOCs repesentation to intellectual patforms. But
3-4 years back there was an article in 'KERALA SABDAM'
(Sorry I could not remember the date) against our
seminary and especially Georgeachen. Strong
allegations were there against achen. But every body
who knows it was a ' manipulated' one . But whose
brain was behind it ?

Dear Friend
U r explained the real situation of angamali now.
only god can do some thing there. we can pray for that. No good or
dedicated leaders for us. No vision at all. No dream at all from the
bishops or priests side. We got lot of good orders from different
court. No machinery for doing to impliment that. No bisop for us to
take in care for that. No legal cell. Lot of valuable records in
aluva seminari. We dont know to utalise it.
We have leaders what u tell in this. They look after their own
business. We dont have a good church lover bishop like vattassery
thirumeni....
Now our situation is very very bad. No body to help us. No political
or social leader to help us.
There is a small grop of people working for our church in angamali.
right now they will not get any good support from kottayam. Everybody
know our bavas situation. He is not well do all these. Instead of him
two three secretary hadling all these with their own interest. They
have their own interst with the angamali. If they actually like our
church they can do better better things now. I can suggest lot of
thins needed for angamali.
1 Appoint H G Youhanan Mar Milithious as Metrapolitha
2 Change Rev Fr M O JOhn from that position. He is not a good leader
for doing any thing in church. That he proved in Kottyam Seminari and
thrikkunneth seminari on Jan26.
3 Impliment different court ordes through a good legal sell.
4 Co Ordinate all people through good leadership.
5 Active functioning of youth movement.
6 Ordinate 15 new priests. Now shortage is there.
7 Give suit against all churches which is not supporting us.
8 Give first priority to the case.
9 Support all churches what ever they required.
10 Make sure that to get at least 100 people when ever reqd.
The above all we can done through only a good visionalbel leadership
We can pray for that
regards
Thomas

The three-days Episcopal Holy Synod of MJSCC concluded on Wednesday,

The Jacobite Church Episcopal Synod yesterday welcomed the mediation
efforts of Rev. Dr. Samuel Kobia, the General Secretary of World

E. Mathews Mor Ivanios , Church Lay Secretary Thambu George Thukalan

necessary negotiations, whenever it is required.
The Holy Synod also took the following decisions:
1- Each and every parish should keep aside 10% of its income for
charitable activities.
2- A sub-committee is formed to implement uniformity in the
liturgies in the Church.
3- A commission is formed to study and report its recommendations
for the formation of Idukki diocese.
4- H. E. Dr. Joseph Mor Gregorios is re-selected as the Holy
Episcopal Synod Secretary.
5- To make necessary arrangements for the proposed visit of H.H.

Catholicose H.B. Aboon Mor Baselius Thomas I, during HH's visit.
The three-days Episcopal Synod and Metropolitan retreat conducted at
Puthencruz Patriarchal Centre, concluded on Wednesday, 23rd May.
Seventeen Metropolitans of the Jacobite Church participated in the
Holy Synod.

Dr. Fr. M.O. John is good in writing and public stage and a part of the
public felt that Achen is capable to lead a diocese. But the Bishops
of the MOSC, the majority of the Priests who are contemporaries of
Achen, the Orthodox believers who are actievely participating in church
matters and Fr. M.O. John himself knows that he is not enough to become
a Bishop of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.
We already experienced the after effect of the Thrikunnathu seminary
within a short period after he took the charge of the seminary. I am
humbly requisting to John Achen please do not try to contest for the
post of a Bishop of the MOSC one more time as it may loose the
popularity. People are not tolerated to keep quite while watching the
games of the street politics in church.

Dear All
Fr. Dr. O. Thomas resigned from the Managing
Committee (See the report in M TV &
Mangalam daily dated 25th May 2007 ) .
It is a calculated move and drama. We all know that
Fr. Thomas lost in the last election and then
nominated to managing committe. See he is not an
elected member but a nominated member.Nomination has
been done by HH Didimos Bawa Thirumeni. Actually Bawa
thirumeni is taking rest and his private secratary Fr.
Sabu Kuriakkose played a big role in the
nominations. It is crystal clear that Fr. Thomas gave
his conscent to the post. Then why he gave the
resignation later ?
If you go through the nomination list you can find
another name Fr. T. C. John. Both Fr. John and Fr. O.
Thomas are from same place cheppad and both are
members of same parish( St. George valiapallyy
Cheppad). There are two groups in Mavelikkara
diocese. One Groups HQ is Haripad Mission Center. This
group was against the formation of mavelikkara
diocese. Both Fr. Thomas and Fr. John are very much
active with Haripad mission center. Both got berth in
MC as nominated members. It is very much surprising
.At least we can say that Fr. Thomas is the prev.
trustee and a senior faculty in Old Seminary. He is
good in writing and good in platforms. But how Fr. TC
John managed it ? Who helped ? Is there any criteria
to nominate somebody to Managing comittee ?? As an
ordinary almayan I want dedicated, god fearing
personalities come to the managing comittee.
Especially when we nominate some body the criteria
should be tough and the process should not be done
through back doors.
Fr. Thomas resigned from the Manging committe. But
people are there to represnt Fr. Thomas in Managing
committee.
Similarly another 'faction leader' Rt. Rev. P.C
Yohannon Rambachan also found berth in Managing
committe as a ' nominated member.' Another member of
clergy is playing all his dirty politicks to become
the member of Holy synod. Now he is belongs to
Angamaly diocese but elected to MC ( Nominated ???)
from UK- CANADA.
It is sad to know that Fr. Dr. Mathew Baby has been
suspended.
Please remember that in the old days of Late HH
Mathews Bawa Thirumeni, so many people critisized him
. Now are you happy with the things happening in our
church ?
Thanking you
Shaju Joseph
