Prashant Vice-President (Management Batch of 2008-10)
This
is my first official communication to the batch and I would like to
begin by thanking each and every one of you for the trust you have
shown in me.
The
last couple of days I had been busy interacting with SaiHarsha, trying
to get acquainted with the nitty-gritty's of the post of VP and how
things go around at NITIE and the interaction has been quite
informative. As we all know, the lateral
placements of our senior batch is about to begin in a couple of days.
It is the cynosure of all activities going on in the college right now
and everything else has been put on a lower priority and justifiably
so.
For
your information, let me tell you that I have started taking initiatives
on the agenda that I disclosed to the batch just before the elections. I will you keep updating of progress in various issues.
However, if anyone of you feels that there is an issue that needs
immediate attention then feel free to write to me at prashant.nitie@... and i'll take up the issue.
Dear Friends,
I am uploading the answers to the case interview round in the files

Let your decision be made only after you know your candidate.
EVERYONE SHOULD VOTE. PLEASE MAKE YOURSELF AVAILABLE FOR THE OPEN
HOUSE AT 7:30 PM (SHARP).
Regards,
Sai Harsha

This is a wonderful mail circulating in favour of RAJ Thackerey's Policies. Have a look at it....
We all should support Raj Thackeray and take his initiative ahead by doing more...
1. We should teach our kids that if he is second in class, don't study harder.. just beat up the student coming first and throw him out of the school.
2. Parliament should have only Delhiites as it is located in Delhi.
3. Prime-minister, president and all other leaders should only be from Delhi.
4. No Hindi movie should be made in Bombay. Only Marathi.
5. At every state border, buses, trains, flights should be stopped and staff changed to local men.
6. All Maharashtrians working abroad or in other states should be sent back as they are SNATCHING employment from Locals.
7. Lord Shiv, Ganesha and Parvati should not be worshiped in our state as they belong to north (Himalayas).
8. Visits to Taj Mahal should be restricted to people from UP only.
9. Relief for farmers in Maharashtra should not come from centre because that is the money collected as Tax from whole of India, so why should it be given to someone in Maharashtra?
10. Let's support kashmiri Militants because they are right to killing and injuring innocent people for benefit of there state and community......
11. Let's throw all MNCs out of Maharashtra, why should they earn from us? We will open our own Maharashtra Microsoft, MH Pepsi and MH Marutis of the world .
12. Let's stop using cell phones, emails, TV, foreign Movies and dramas. James Bond should speak Marathi
13. We should be ready to die hungry or buy food at 10 times higher price but should not accept imports from other states
14.We should not allow any industry to be setup in Maharashtra because all machinery comes from outside
15. Ensure that all our children are born, grow, live and die without ever stepping out of Maharashtra, then they will become true Marathi's
This mail should somehow reach Raj Thackrey. So forward it> to as many people as possible. This mail needs to be read by all Indians. Keep Forwarding.
The Manjunath Shanmugam Trust is an international pan-IIM alumni initiative that works to improve governance in Indian public life. The trust was instituted in the memory of Manjunath Shanmugam, an alumnus of IIM Lucknow, who sacrificed his life while carrying out his professional duty as an honest individual. The Trust works on various anti-corruption initiatives; the trust also worked relentlessly on Manjunath's murder case and succeeded in bringing all the 8 accused to book in a record 9 months' trial. The key accused was awarded death penalty and
the rest were awarded life imprisonment.
We, at the trust, are organizing a candle light march across college campuses in India on 19th November 2008 to commemorate his death anniversary. We request the entire student community of India to join us in the candle light march to show their solidarity with the cause and help in awakening nationwide consciousness about widespread corruption prevalent in the country.
Having thought and talked much about deep-rooted corruption and government insensitiveness, this candle light march gives the student community an opportunity to make their voice heard on these issues.
We request your institute to take part in the candle light march at your own campus. The timings of the same shall be intimated to you soon. We expect at least 75 students from each institute to take part in the candle light march at their respective campuses.
The trust takes great pleasure
in inviting the faculty of your institute to join the students in this candle light march.
The Manjunath Shanmugam Trust shall take care of the event design, media coverage and distribution of pamphlets providing information about the trust and its objectives.
Please confirm your participation in the candle light march by mailing back to us at manjunathtrust.iiml@... latest by 30th October. Dear Friends,
U might remember that there was a big storm and lightning last week. It has ruptured the router which provides internet connectivity to our hostels. There is an alternate line which provides internet connectivity to the faculty and CC. Cyber com has got the approval to provide the internet connectivity to the hostels through that line, but that would be possible only after the working hours. The net connection which was available over the weekend was through the efforts of cybercom and was done through that line only.
The repair of the ruptured line is not in the hands of Cyber com (and neither was the storm and the lightningJ) and we are in constant touch with administration to get it repaired ASAP. But we cannot give any time line for that.
So we all have to face this inconvenience and net won't be available regularly from 9 to 5 in the day from tomorrow onwards until the hostel line gets repaired.. .
