Please be informed that tomorrow the demon Rahu will once again attack the Sun god
in a phenomenon typically described as a total solar eclipse.
The eclipse will be visible within a narrow corridor in the Southern Hemisphere traversing parts of
South America and Africa before ending over the Indian Ocean.
 
Chant Hare Krishna and be happy. Be vigilant too. Observe the necessary eclipse precautions
as we have posted on previous eclipses.
The precaution period tomorrow is approximately between 10:30 UT - 13:30 UT.
The above timing is in Universal Time (UT). To convert to your local time,
just add (or subtract if you are west of Greenwich) your time zone hour/s and daylight savings hour.
For example, for Malaysia-Singapore (08:00 hours east of Greenwich), the precaution period is from 18:30-21:30.
 
Do NOT look at the Sun directly during this time.
Avoid cooking, eating, evacuating, sleeping or mating during the precaution period.
You may eat before the event or after cleaning up at the end of the contamination period.
Pregnant women should stay indoors.
They should not handle knife, scissors or needle or any sharp metallic objects during this time,
otherwise the child they are carrying may be born with hare-lips or other defects.
 
The best thing to do during this period is to bathe in a holy river (if you have access to one) for purification and
chant the Holy Names of God. An eclipse is also always a good time to give charity to worthy causes.
