Excellent idea. My suggestions, for what they are worth:

1. There should be a section on the group itself. This will probably
include statistics on the number of members, the geographical
distribution etc.

2. Some description of why we're all interested in Holmes, why we
think other people might be interested.

3. General admin stuff, such as rules about acceptable behaviour and
so on. This should include sumal's stipulation that new members must
post their profile, as well as the format of the profile.

4. Links. Including: links to other Holmesian sites, relevant
article[such as, say a logician's discussion on the nature of Holmes'
reasoning], links to online version of the Canon, and possibly even
links to any webpages on movie and TV adaptations. This could even be
a regularly updated feature. Every month, we could take turns in
coming up with new links.

How does that sound?
