Hi Mihir
Thanks for the information. It is a pity that the movie channels
of these days, i.e popular ones like HBO and Star Movies tend to
air hollywood stuff which is the favorite of the masses.
Hallmark is one channel that caters to the audience who likes
more classical movies. But even they dont air Holmes movies.
I have gone about many places in bangalore looking for Holmes
VCDs but all I got was some cartoons, quite amateurish ones depicting
Watson as a comic character!
If anyone in this group has a good collection of VCDs I would
like to know about it.
Thanks folks,
-Anand

opportunity of watching THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES ( originally
made in English but dubbed in Russian ) on REN TV a Russian TV
Channel. The same channel had telecasted a film " The Real Sherlock
Holmes" a film based on the life of Dr Arthur Connan Doyle during Sir
Arthur's days in the medical college and days as practicing physician
along with his real life detective exploits.

showing those classics and keep Sherlockians like us starving.
