Just a quick announcement, for those who might care to know: the first
series of The Further Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is being broadcast
by BBC7 from Monday to Friday next week, at 1pm (UK time) with a
repeat at 5pm. The second series (again, all five episodes) will
follow the week after.

The shows can be heard live on the web at the BBC7 website:

available for seven days after each broadcast on that site's Listen
Again pages.

These are 45 minute audio plays based on the throwaway references to
unrecorded cases which Doyle liked to scatter through the published
stories. As in the BBC's Complete Canon, Holmes is played by Clive
Merrison; Watson is Andrew Sachs. Guest stars include Tom Baker, Jane
Asher, Toyah Wilcox, Timothy West, Eleanor Bron, Mark Gatiss, Maggie
Steed and Geoffrey Whitehead.
