Hi

Dr. watson was a very able chronicler but was
constantly criticised by holmes for adding drama to
the stories rather than giving importance to the
logistics of deduction. Thank god watson never in any
way swayed from his own style or else we perhaps would
never have heard of the master at all. But holmes
himself tried his hand at writing two of his
stories(which were surprisingly comparitively
unsuccessful) and admitted himself that writing was
indeed a difficult job if you were not to add drama.
But the adventure of the lion's mane is still one of
the best deductive work by holmes. Pity his writing
didn't get as much praise
