Re: Dr watson's claim to literary fame

Hello

Holmes had great love for the doctor too. He also appreciated his
loyalty and knowledge but had less faith in his wit and the ability
if deduction that watson claims to have somewhat acquired from his
genius friend. Though he sent watson to investigage the disappearance
of lady frances carfax, even after his hinting him to look at the
adversary's ear, watson disregarded it as a joke and muddled things
up. Even in "hounds" watson feels important being sent to guard the
life of henry baskerville but little did he know (before he actually
found out) that holmes was always there on a lookout ( though in dire
emergency holmes could be of little help).

But at the end of the day watson always had some hand in solving of
holme's cases. More than once did sherlock put his life in the hands
of this supposedly slow witted writer doctor.
