hi there
I will suggest them unspoilt honey moon of lifetime.Go this route taking halts at
1)Shimla(can stay as long as they want)
2)Narkanda(Half day stop may be)
3)Sarahan bushaher(night halt and early morning visit to temple)
4)Sangla(2-3 days stay)-Chitkul(14 km from sangla so can visit while staying at Sangla)
5)Rekongpeo(on way to kalpa which is 10 km max)-Kalpa(can stay here or at rekongpeo(or peo)
Since peo is distt headquarter of kinnaur so fooding and lodging is ample. No preplanning as such necessary.
Well unspoilt would definitely be Kinnaur and lahul spiti distt in himachal.
But as i guess he wants honeymoon and not an adventurous one so i guess he doesnt need to go to lahul bcz i guess bongs cant bear that much dry and cold weather.I would difeinitely suggest going to sangla . He can stay at Banjara camps who offer lots of activities too like rafting in baspa river just at stones throw but they charge moohlas for that or he can stay at ample lodging facilities at sangla proper. HP tourism would be the best. They had used that lodge in mujhse dosti karoge movie too...nice warm n comfy...for that they can book from delhi also or from shimla from various HPTDC facilities.
Before that i will suggest that on the way to kinnaur disst they take a one day break in the journey to kinnaur and visit Bhimakali temple located in sarahan bushaher(33km from rampur),being bong they would definitrly like this grand centuries old Kaali temple (vedic name Shronitpuri and built by great grandfather of our present chief miniter Shir Virbhadra Singh) it is 18 km from NH-22 and right turn from place called Jeori which is 24 km from Rampur Bushaher(erst while Bushaher kingdom). This place lies on way to kinnaur (Sangla, Rekong peo etc)
About Sangla From Chail/Shimla, its an 8 hr drive (for first time drivers, estimate 10 hr) from Chail/Shimla to Karcham (the turnoff point on NH 22) is 221/209 km. Take right at Karcham, 18 km down the road is Sangla. Go ahead 6 km and look for "Banjara Camp" board on the right. Take a right here to reach Banjara Camp parking at the base of the hill. Bookings for banjara camps are made at many booking agents sending ppl to himachal from delhi and shimla.
Well i guess that should be enough and if any more detail is needed you are welcome. I strongly believe in more ppl showing enthusiasm for eco-tourism in these areas. So i am glad they want to venture out and explore. By the way ask them not to forget warm clothes because it did snow in chitkul when i was there once in june ...
