All camera greater than 3MP are good when you take
photographs in natural light but indoors results are
not so good. Nothing beats SLR camera. The technology
is there but those digital camera are expensive.
Following models are good. 
Sony T1 lowest price is $266/-
Sony Cybershot DSCT33 5.1MP lowest price $325/-
Canon PowerShot A95 5MP  $210/-
Canon PowerShot SD500 7.1MP lowest price is $370/-
Kodak Easyshare models and FujiFine are good,have
similar features, value for money but they are not
famous as sony and canon.
