We are planning to restart the Delhi get-togethers which some senior
members of this group used to organise few years back. I am currently
based in Gurgaon and working as a Process Design Engineer. Would like
to connect with fellow Himachalis and see if in someway we can
contribute to VOH group and support various initatives run by the
group in Himachal.

I am sure these get-togethers would also help us reconnect and forge
strong social and cultural bonds. Lets plan to meet on 31st May 2009
(Sunday) at Himachal Bhawan Restaurant at 12:30 in the afternoon. We
can have a contributory lunch and end our session by 2:30.

Hopefully, we will have some positive response for this one.Kindly

When I was a kid in S(h)imla, we always had a late snowfall in March.
Just a sprinkle that would melt right away.

But March was always warm and bright.

Almost all my friends went away for the winter.
Only a few hardy boys remained (perhaps we had no place to go).

Winter was cold and damp and miserable.
But when the snow came it was a carnival.
Snowmen and snow fights, and sliding and sledding on the steep slopes.

The summer went on forever.

But come June, the tourists took over and our town
was a cheating lover, that had no time for us locals.

But it always came back and again we had the mall all to ourselves.
