Description

Role of Statistics starts when we are interested in getting information from the data we are having. Making research we can generate data. But most of the time looking simply at the data it is very much tough to draw any conclusion. On analysing data we can get information. this information makes our knowledge. But the data in the real world subjected to have errors. Only statistical analysis is feasible for error affected data. It's because when there the question of erroneous data comes in most case Mathematics (rather say Non-statistical mathematics??) fails.

Nobdody can ignore the role of statistics in modern world. In present days theory of statistics is applied in every field of science say it is medical science, agricultural science physiology, geology or any other science. It's use also been extended even to the Multinational companies nowadays. Development of different statistical softwares has made the application of statistics much much easier.

I myself feel that there should be a good paltfrom for statisticians where they can exchange their valuable knowlege and experience with others according to exposure to different statisticial theories and also different statistical softwares like SAS, SPSS, S-plus, Minitab, Matlab, R, Stata etc. STATISTICIANS_GROUP IS PROVIDING SUCH KIND OF PLATFORM FOR MORE THAN THREE YEARS AND HAS BECOME UNIQUE IN ITS KIND.

All the statisticians who are scientists or the students or the people who keeps interest on this subject are coordially invited to join in this group.

Re: Distributions chisquare normal
E is expectation , and z and V are independent . r is any integer positive. T follows t distribution.   Though it is not very clear what is "E(T^(2*r)) =?"(if

Re: Distributions chisquare normal
Though it is not very clear what is "E(T^(2*r)) =?"(if E means expectation then what is r etc) but you may see that T^2 will follow an F distribution if z & V
