We are currently looking for a Senior Managers and Senior Analytics
to join our team. These individuals will utilize their exceptional
business judgment, strong analytical skills, and solid presentation
skills to help guide efforts to improve the current site experience
for buyers. On a day-to-day basis, this individual will partner with
other Analytics teams in San Jose and provide the necessary
analytical support by guiding and coordinating efforts of team
members. This will involve conducting and leading extensive analyses
of eBay's rich data, generating insights about how users interact
with the site, and communicating those insights and recommendations
to the Finding Analytics team. In the process, this person will
develop a deep understanding of the eBay Marketplaces business and
eBay site functionality; further strengthen their analytic,
leadership, and presentation skills

Key Responsibilities:
* This individual will contribute to the overall analytical efforts
* Structure, guide, and refine analysis from Analysts Team in order
to generate insights
* Work with analysts to build strong communication and presentation
skills

Data Quality Assurance and Knowledge Management
* Become well-versed in eBay business metrics and product
functionality
* Leverage intimate knowledge of eBay product and business to ensure
high-quality output for reporting, product analysis, and other ad
hoc support

Lead Product Launch Analysis
* Coordinate with business unit and San Jose analyst team in
defining reporting and analysis requirements
* Oversee analyst team in creating and maintaining reporting,
focusing on quality control
* Deliver report to the business while becoming familiar with
business priorities

Coordinate Ad Hoc Support for Analytics
* Coordinate ad hoc finding-related analytic support to San Jose-
based team, based on business priorities
Job Requirements A successful candidate will possess the following
characteristics:
* Exceptional business judgment
* Strong communication skills and experience distilling and
quantitative analysis into recommendations
* Strong quantitative analytic ability, including the ability to
structure analysis independently in order to answer business and
product-related questions
* The candidate must show ability to quickly understand business
requirements and map these requirements to data sources available

Requirements:
* Requires technical skills in SQL on a data warehouse environment
(preferably Teradata), Excel pivot tables, and PowerPoint.
Proficiency with statistical analysis tools (e.g., SAS, SPSS)
* Intellectual curiosity, passion for problem solving, and comfort
with ambiguity
* High energy and a desire to work in a results-oriented, fast
growth environment
* A passion for understanding and serving the unique community of
eBay
* Familiarity with eBay or ecommerce (Buying / Selling online) or
Internet search preferred
* Strong academic profile with an emphasis on quantitative
coursework (e.g., degree in Mathematics/Statistics, Computer
Science, Economics, Econometrics or Engineering)
* 6-9 years of experience, as database analyst, risk analyst, or MIS
analyst, ideally in ecommerce, Banking/Financial Services, or
Software Industries,
* Education Bachelors Degree Required
