Along the past few years, Ain Shams University Students’ Scientific Society has annually organized one of the world’s most well renowned and prestigious events in the field of medical research. The 17th Annual International Medical Students’ Congress comes in continuation to the effort exerted and the experience gained over the past years.

Cairo, Egypt

14-17 February 2008

 

Who should attend?

Every Medical student and young doctor, who is interested in research and has been involved in a worthwhile medical research, is invited.

 

Why attend?

The congress offers a unique opportunity to present your research to an international audience and a scientific jury of high caliber..

 

Awards

In the name and memory of our beloved professor, Dr. Ali Khalifa, four prizes are awarded at the end of the conference to the winners and runner-ups for both the oral and poster competitions.

 

The awards are: 

I.    Oral & Poster presentation winners: 500 Euros each.

II. Oral & Poster presentation runner-ups: A place in our annual Summer School for each.

2. Internal Medicine

3. Surgery

4. Pediatrics

5. Obstetrics & Gynecology

6. Immunology & Microbiology

7. Free Medical Topics

The scientific jury invited for these sessions consists of a very diverse selection of professors.

 

Workshops

This year’s congress is expected to host a variety of workshops in collaboration with major bodies. Preliminary contacts have been made, although specifications are yet to be decided. Further information will be available on our website.

 

Post Congress Tour

The post congress tour consists of a trip to the wondrous city of Hurghada which is one of the most famous resort areas of the Red Sea. The tour also includes both an over day trip to Luxor ,which is the ancient capital of Egypt known to host almost one third of all the world’s antiquities, and a Red Sea offshore trip.

 

Registration Fees:  

 

1- Congress:

The congress fee is 170 Euros, to be paid in cash upon arrival at the registration desk.

The congress fee covers your:

-         Participation

-         Accommodation in a 5 stars hotel (half board),

-         Transportation during congress (including airport pick up)

 

-         Social outings, which include :

o       A Tour to the Pyramids & Sphinx,

o       Oriental Dance Show,

o       Night Gathering

o       The Gala Dinner) and the

-         Certificate of attendance.

 

2-Post congress tour to Hurghada: 

  The tour fee is 170 Euros, to be paid in cash upon arrival at the registration desk.

The post congress fee covers:

-          Accommodation in 4 star hotel (Half Board).

-          Transportation.

-          Snorkeling and water sports in Gifton Island in Red Sea.

-          Sight seeing in Hurghada.

-          Guided sight seeing among Luxor Temples & Monuments.

The official language is English.
