Very recently new features are available with Yahoo-Groups. From these, I have found following two features worthy to add. I have added these features in the group at the location http://in.groups. yahoo.com/ group/Statistici ans_group/ grouplets/ subscriptions.

 

1. Jobs: I would like to request the post advertisment for job in this location only. This will help to maintain a systematic database for job. Through this, even if we miss any mail, we can always access that job advertisment from this database.

 

2. People Map: Here members can add their information such as profession, research interest, city etc. I see this resultant database has big prospect. For example, as most of our member I believe is involved directly or indirectly with research and they will be able to easily find the members with similar research interest.
