Is Dapper Drake the One?:
http://www.tuxmagazine.com/node/1000187 -- Speaking of new
distributions, the new version of Kubuntu Linux is named Dapper Drake.
Our publisher Phil Hughes has been testing the various beta releases

Tech Tip
When you create a template in OpenOffice.org and save the template
with File -> Save As -> Template, the documents you create from that
template aren't associated with it. Therefore, if you change or update
the template, the documents previously created from it don't receive
the updates automatically. Instead, the next time you open a document
created from a template that has been updated, you'll be asked if
you'd like the document to be updated as well.

Doc Searls' IT Garage -- A microformat approach to making identity
personal:
http://www.itgarage.com/node/758
"Jeremie Miller, father of Jabber, has stepped into the Identity ring
and laid down a building block that may prove handy for all kinds of
uses. It's called MicroID, and it provides 'small, decentralized,
verifiable identity' that 'allows any content owner or web site to
publish a simple portable identity token associated with entire pages,
blocks of content, or particular pieces of data'."
