Job Description:
Participates
in system related projects, infrastructure, and capacity upgrades, and projects
to improve processing and automation. Responsibilities include technical
analysis and design, coding, testing, and release preparation. Works directly with the Business Analyst, translating business
requirement specifications into sound technical design specifications that
solution customer needs while following the standards, philosophies, and
technologies of the application.
Database skills :
v
Thorough understanding of database theory,
relational concepts and fundamentals.
v
Experience with database modeling, design and
implementation, preferably with Oracle (9 and later).
v
Experience writing stored procedures desired,
preferably for Oracle (9 or later)
v
Expertise writing efficient and optimal SQL
Java skills :
v
Expertise in java/j2ee, XML/XSLT, XHTML. Must be
able to build user interfaces using Struts like framework.
v
Expertise in writing services using either XML
over HTTP or SOAP desired.
v
Experience with data access frameworks such as
iBatis or Hibernate is a plus.
General Skills/Traits :
v
Must have excellent communication skills. Must
be able to present designs/approaches and be able to engage in
discussions/debates with larger group.
v
Must be able to work in a team
settings or as an independent.
v
Must have technical leadership skills to drive
design/implementation of components and sub systems
