Position:  Windows Engineer

 

Location:  Downtown Chicago 

Duration:  12 month contract

Rate:  $55/hr. fixed

Interview:  Phone Screen then F2F required

  

REQUIREMENTS:

 

v      In depth knowledge of all aspects of Windows NT/2000/2003 systems administration; for example, system installation and configuration, printing systems, fundamentals of security, installing third-party software.

v      Strong Citrix support and engineering skills preferred but not required.

v      Novell experience with 3.x to 6.x desired.

v      Well versed in TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, DFS, AD.

v      Knowledge of SANs, Veritas, VMWare, Citrix, IIS, MS SQL, ASP, Visual Basic.

v      MCSE certification desired.

v      Ability to do minimal debugging and modification of C programs.

v      Five to eight years systems administration and engineering experience in a large enterprise environment preferred.

v      A degree in computer science or a related field.

v      Significant programming, scripting and automation skills preferred. Programming language would include VB, Pearl, Python, and others.

v      Co-ordinate monitoring tool initiation (e.g. Tivoli, Insight Manager, etc)

v      Extensive VM Ware experience 

v      Extensive Clustering experience
