Mumbai film producers enquire about shooting possibilities in Andamans

A two-day B2B Cinemascape Exhibition was organized at ITC Grand
Maratha, Mumbai from October 26, 2006. Representatives from A&N Islands,
India Tourism, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and countries like Austria, Turkey,
Brazil, Sri Lanka, Maurtius participated in the exhibition.
The President A&N Islands Film &TV Development Association, Shri
Mukeshwar Lall participated in the panel of discussion and also made a
presentation on behalf of the islands on the opening day of the exhibition.
The A&N Tourism Department also participated in the exhibition. There was
great response from producers and everybody was lost in the bewitching
beauty of the archipelago, which was highlighted through the presentation
and enquired about the possibilities of shooting in A&N Islands.
Earlier, Kiran V. Shantaram, Shri Manmohan Sherry & Shri Navin Berry
lit the lamp to mark the inauguration of the exhibition. Celebrities who
attended the inaugural function were Ramesh Sippy, Shyam Benegal, Kalpana
Lajmi, Shakti Samant, Bony Kapoor, Ketan Anand, Vinod Pandey, Amit Khanna.
Similarly, the chief participants of the closing panel for discussion
on 27th were Sukhvinder Grewal, Mukesh Bhatt, Ravi Chopra, Vasu Bhagnani and
Harry Bhaweja.
