Total sanitation by 2010

Shimla, May 21
With only 50 per cent of household in the state having access to toilet
facility, efforts are being made to bring about total sanitation
coverage till 2010. A workshop on the Water and Sanitation Programme
(WSP) being funded by World Bank was organised here yesterday.

The Total Sanitation Campaign, an initiative of the Central Government
intends to help people of the state to gain sustained access to improve
water supply and sanitation services.
