Dear Neeraj,

Good to know you are headed out to Dharamshala for your honeymoon... but I
hope you would be staying in McLeod Ganj rather than lower dharmashala.

The best way to go to Manali... if you plan to drive then take the Pathankot
- Mandi road. From mandi, onto NH 21 for reaching manali. If going in a
bus, then the route does not matter.

For your stay, I would suggest the HPTDC's Hotel Beas or Rohtang Manalsu.
But if you are a little adventurous and prefer company of the firang kind,
then head out to Vashisth where rooms are cheaper as compared to Manali.

I stayed in Hotel Surbhee which had decent rooms and reasonable rates. Food
is good as well but on the expensive side as most of the menu is continental
cuisine.

There are numerous other lodges and hotels in Manali, run by private
operators, which would be much cheaper but dont know much about the state of
the rooms or the quality of food available.
