Flood Continue to wreak instate
The fury Flood in Bihar Continued to wreak have on Friday with swollen rivers
inundating fresh areas across 16 of the state 38 district affecting ten
millions.
Official sources said all major rivers were maintaining a rising trend and had
acossed the danger-mark at diffrent place along their course.
With 14 fresh deaths – Darbhanga (3), Begusarai (5) Madhubani (5) East
Champaran (2) and West Champaran (4) reported in the list 24 hours, the dath
toll in the current spell of floods has risen to 57 official sources said.

Meeting by NAPM
Unit of NAPM and the Nadi Wapsi Abhiyan Jointly convened a meeting of
educationists, social activists, legal professionals and flood victims to
dicussed the problems faced by people in flood hit districts.
The Participannts felt the flood problem should not be politicised, the blame
game will not solve the problem and the flood victims should be provided
immediate relief, they said.
The meet noted that only the areas having embank ments are the embankment move
the disaster cores by flood. Roads were not properly constructed under various
schemes in diffrent parts of the state, caring water logging problem. The meet
also felt that on the relief and rehabilitation front, not much has so for been
done by the state civil society bodies . More work is to be done on thic count,
noted the participant.
