Idea is good. We can mobilise, raise funds, medicines , food items, clothes,
bed sheets, blankets but who in our group based in bihar is going to take
responsibilty for correct distribution. Collection is easy, distribution is
not....
I come forward for collection in mumbai...would request others who are more
mobile than me to come forward for transport to bihar and distribution pls
All ideas welcome.
Thanks /tanya

We Bihari members of the Net-community are so quick to take umbrage
whnenver a single negative word is uttered against Bihar or Biharis in
the print or the virtual media – no matter how patently and obviously
false the comment is or even downright idiotic it is; in other words
not only not worthy of any notice, much less of a response.
But when Mother Nature unleashes her fury at us of "Biblical
proportions", what do we do? We remain utterly inert – not a voice is
heard, not a single muscle twitches, not a soul stirs.
What could have been done or what can be done?
Raise funds and procure food, medicine, baby formulas, for example.
Rush them to Patna. Ferry them to the needy.
Show some concern, make some effort.
I remember,when the eminent Patna physician Dr. A. K. N. Sinha (past
President of national IMA, President of the World Medical Council) was
around, with his boundless energy and resourcefulness he would quickly
rouse and organize a whole bunch of students of the Patna Medical
College during such times and lead them to the affected areas with
supplies and medicines. This was before the Internet or the WWW was born.
In the "Gauravshali Bihar" of today, isn't there any one even half as
energetic, resourceful, and truly caring as the late Dr. Sinha?
If not, the least we can do is pat ourselves on the back for
PROTECTING Bihar, and launching it on a trajectory of glory.
Remember, charity begins at home.
