The proposal drafted by Naveen (94)  & Sanjay (76) as decided in the NOBA
meeting at VVIT Purnia on August 12, 2009 is as attached herewith for your
comments please.

The words of the CM was "SHUBHASHYA SHEEGHRAM" in the matter of opening two
school at Simultala & Dehri which was originally proposed in 2005.He wants to
meet Nobaites around August 20, 2009. Please do let me know your consiudered
views.

The matter has picked up due attention at the time of inauguration of VVIT
Purnia. The news item that was published on April 08, 2005 is reproduced below:

Bihar to Have Netarhat-type School in Simultala

Patna: April 8, 2005
In
order to compete with Jharkhand's Netarhat and provide a healthy
educational environment for the young students of Bihar, the state
government has resolved to open a school in Simultala on the pattern of
Netarhat while also opening a girls school in Dehri on the pattern of
Hazaribagh's Indira Gandhi Girls School, officials in Patna said.



The Center has already released Rs. 2.5 crore each for both projects,
Intermediate and Higher Education secretary Navin Verma said.



Simultala, that falls under Jamui district in Bihar and is on
Patna-Howrah line, provides similar geographical locale as Netarhat
with plenty of greenery and mountainous terrain making it an ideal site
for learning institution.



The new boys and girls schools are to be named Gautam Boys High School
and Maitriye Girls High School respectively highlighting the historical
importance of the state that boasts to be the home of Lord Buddha.



Verma said that the school had the option ot rent buildings for both
school or build them from scratch. The state opted for the latter, he
said.. It would also employ the most qualified and best teachers from
the state and if needed, new teachers would be hired from other states
as well.



The schools will have in-campus boarding facilities and admissions
would be based on entrance tests, Verma said.



The construction works on both sites are expected to begin
soon.

As we discussed on a short NOBA meet held after the inauguration of VVIT,
Purnea. Prof Sanjay Ji and I have finally compiled two of the proposals on the
behalf of NOBA to present to CM – Bihar .

Proposal for engagement of individual from NOBA for developing a residential
school on the format of Netarhat School .
Proposal for setting an institute on renewable energy under the guidance of Prof
Sanjay – a NOBA member.
 
 
 
Please find both of the proposals along with the “Letter of Intent” (Letter
of intent is given just for a business salutation for initiating the talk) in
attachment. Kindly go thru it and wherever need of editing/ modification is
required please do that.
