Blogs have come to stay and many of them are thriving by offering
independent comments, views and tips on tech issues and technologies.
For the first time, TechWeb, a website for information technology
(IT) professionals, has compiled a list of best tech blogs based on
readers choice. Here are then "Top Ten Independent Tech Blogs
2004," based on "First TechWeb Network Best Independent Tech
Blog Readers Choice Awards" 2004:

In mid-October, Tech Web asked its readers a question: what
independent tech blogs do you think are best? In the first phase --
which lasted three weeks – TechWeb asked an open question: tell
us about up to five blogs that you visit. About a thousand
nominations naming just over 400 blogs were received. Then ten
finalists were put to vote and, based on the result, the "top ten
