COLORS INDIA VISION
The objective of this collective is to create a platform for color design.
The activities that this group could engage in are sharing of information,
color research and advancement, education and training, color forecasting
direction,
design and application for the Indian marketplace.
The conference would benefit participants from industries that deal in the
production of material; master batches and pigment; textile, leather,
plastic, paint,
lamination, automotive and transportation; also those who manufacture
product for transportation; technology and appliances, garment, home
furnishings,
contract furniture, architecture and interior design; Service industries:
design studios, branding services, retailers and; educational institutions.
This year Colors India 2008 combines with The Color Marketing Group.
CMG is the premier international association for color design professionals.
They create color forecast information for professionals who design and
market color
and are "the" place for color info exchange. To be ever more international
CMG will produce the first ever country specific color card in a dynamic
workshop at
Colors India 2008 on the 30th and 31st August.

Colors India support the aesthetic study of color and design as well as
forecasting.
Designers, technologists, colorists, and marketers are invited to deliver
inspiring presentations on trend research, color aesthetics, cultural color
and consumer studies.
The Conference session is focused on the aesthetic and business perspective
of colors including its emotional aspect and environmental impact.

NCS COLOR WORKSHOP: Royal Bombay Yatch Club, Colaba I Saturday 30th and
Sunday 31st August | 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.
NCS, the Natural Color System, is a perceptual tool for color design and
communication. The Director of the Scandinavian Color School Berit Bergstrom
will conduct a two day workshop on working with the NCS System. This session
includes presentations and practical exercises.
WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE: All designers, Branding agencies, architects,
marketing and research persons, teachers, technicians, paint industries.
PROGRAM CONTENT
Beginning with the elementary colors, it is possible to construct a
three-dimensional descriptive model called the NCS color solid, which
includes the whole
color world and makes it possible to describe any conceivable color percept.
All imaginable surface colors can be placed and thus be given an exact
NCS-notation.
Day one will be Color Theory, and practical exercises.
Day two will be an application of the NCS in practice.

Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st August | 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.
The Colors India CMG 2008 Forecasting workshop will offer the opportunity to
explore influences and their impact on trend and future color through
discussion and visualization.
In an interactive session, devoted to cross industry participation, we share
ideas, technologies and products enabling us to arrive at the
key drivers of design changes and color for the Indian market in the short
and long term.
This workshop will be conducted by Ms. Latika Khosla CMG Asia Pacific Chair
and CMG facilitators.
WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE: Color developers, designers and marketers who are
making trend and color decisions, eighteen months to two years ahead, attend
this session.
This interaction will enable us to take inputs from colleagues in adjacent
industries into our work and encourage others to join in.
So participate, contribute and you are a part of this report back. The
experience is what you take back.
REGISTRATION and WORKSHEETS: On receipt of your registration form,
"Worksheet" will be sent to you. Participation limited to three persons from
a company.
Please Note: The NCS Workshop and the Trend and Color Directions 09/010 are
running concurrently.
