Subject: [designindia] "Rahim Murge Pe Mat Ro": Shortlisted for Filminute
Festival
Dear Friends and Folks,
We would like to inform you that one of our films, "Rahim Murge Pe Mat Ro"
has been shortlisted in the currently running short film festival,
"Filminute". It is one of the most prestigious short film festival that
showcases films made in 60 sec. The details of the festival are available
below. Devashish Makhija and I got together to put our all time favourite
topic of Halaal to tell this short story of Rahim, the Murga.
The film is available on the following link: http://www.filminut

It would be a pleasure if you see the film and present us with your
feedbacks. Also please vote for it if you think it deserves the best film
amongst the lot.
happy viewing and warm regards

Filminute 2008 has launched!
Thanks to you and the rest of this year's 25 shortlisted filmmakers, we have
an engaging and inspiring collection of films for the world to view. This
year's films were drawn from a record screening of more than 1500 films and
together demonstrate a significant step forward in the evolution and mastery
of storytelling within the 60-second format. Drama is a strong theme this
year, yet we are also thrilled to see a great deal of comedy, our first
sci-fi piece and some hard-hitting documentary/fiction pieces. We hope you
will all watch and enjoy each other's films and share them with your peers.
This third edition of Filminute is also marked by a significant increase in
both global reach as well as the number of platforms the festival is
screened on. We expect audiences this year to come from more than 100
countries and to screen more than 10 million minutes on a combination of
Internet, television, mobile and digital installations around the world. If
we can achieve this it will make Filminute one of the biggest film festivals
in the world.
During the festival period (September 1 –30), through to the announcement of
winners on October 12, Filminute will be doing everything in its power to
bring attention to the festival, its filmmakers and the films. It is our
goal to build Filminute to be one of the best film festivals a director ever
enters. The breadth and scale of audience, the quality of our jury, the
quality of the films, and the amount of feedback you will get from the
public, and the support you will get from us as part of an exclusive group
each year is a starting point. There is more to come.
Thank you and congratulations again on being selected for this year's
Filminute festival.
Sincerely,
John Ketchum, Sabaa Quao
