was wondering when did this new rule come into being of needing credentials
and degree to say that something stinks:(
going by that yardstick i would...need an oscar to criticise 'tarey zameen
par', be a dean in some top university to criticise design education in
india, be a great chef to say that the chicken heyram served at taj exotica
sucks, be a i don't-know-what to criticise the indian premier...
was also wondering if i will have 'like', and perhaps buy, every consumer
durable introduced in the market coz i am not a product designer hence do
not have the right or credentials to criticise and refuse something that
sucks:(
please note: this is not about the india post logo
afterthought: is this rule applicable to only those who say that a design is
bad? or is it also applicable to those who say that the logo is good or
suitable :P
warm regards

Subject: [designindia] INDIA POST new logo- who designed it?
That is really an angry call!
I hope all who are criticizing new Indian Post logo have great credentials
proof points of being good designers apart from their degrees. Honestly if
we start to debate good design and bad design in this country can we say
designs produced by the blue blooded designer will all fall into good design
category? The new controversial (within design community) logo, I feel, is
very old fashioned, naive and simplistic. A logo suitable for any Post
company!
