Most of our discussions are biased on what the industry at large ought to be doing and I believe the industry is doing its best for its own survival. At large we ought to believe that the inevitable reforms process have begun, never the less slow. Reasons for which have been discussed in earlier mails.
Comparisons of our economy and industry deliverables with world economy are taken in serious light for the first time. In the long run as the economy moves forward, the industry has to think of new sustainable ways to compete with the rest of the world. This should be a conservative thought, instead how to take on the best should be our aim in order to survive in long term.
As a community we need to impress upon the industry and the government that design can and will act as an important catalyst in making India global leaders. And if this collective effort manages to influence we are talking of a win-win situation.
I believe 'the designer' will now prosper, what I am a bit skeptic about it how much of an important role can we play in our countries development at all levels as an industry. Lets put it the other way, how important will the industry/government feel the need for designers?

We have a task at hand - let the collective soul begin to act.
