Facilitators:
Peter McGrory is the Professor of Design Management & Leadership School
of Design, University of Art & Design Helsinki TaiK. Along with his
position as Professor of Design Management at the School of Design at
the University of Art & Design Helsinki TaiK, and Director of the
Finnish Design Management Institute, Professor McGroryʼs current
research interests involve, amongst others, exploring the breadth and
strategic potential of integrated platform strategies as a basis for
gaining and sustaining competitive advantage in international markets.
Markku Salimäki, is the Director of the International Design Business
Management Programme, Helsinki School of Economics HSE. Having graduated
from the Helsinki University of Technology HUT (Industrial Management)
in 1973, Markku worked in different managerial positions in the Finnish
Ceramic and Glass Industry. He commenced his doctoral studies at HSE in
1992, completed his Licentiate Degree in 1996, and Doctor of Science
degree in 2003. Markku is Director of the Multi-Disciplinary IDBM
Program.
